Software Dev Engineer – C++, Networking

Location: Hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office

What you will do

• Design, develop, qualify, and maintain high-performance networking software.
• Work on distributed applications and core infrastructure software.
• Diagnose bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization in networking systems.
• Re-architect complex legacy components to improve scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
• Evaluate and integrate Generative AI Agents into operational workflows and system diagnostic pipelines.
• Use data-driven analysis to improve customer experience and end-user performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.
• 6–9 years of software development experience with C/C++.
• Experience building networking software.
• Strong command of Linux fundamentals and shell utilities.
• Experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience building high-availability, low-latency, and high-throughput systems.

Nice to have

• Experience working with or integrating Generative AI Agents into workflows.
