Senior Software Developer (C++)

What you will do

• Build features for the message-routing engine, broker bridges, and high-availability failover mechanisms in modern C++ on Linux.
• Solve technical challenges involving network topology, subscription propagation across broker meshes, split-brain avoidance, and disaster recovery.
• Participate in requirements, design, implementation, testing, debugging, and release activities using agile practices.
• Write unit tests and end-to-end tests covering high-availability and network deployments.
• Improve internal AI-assisted development agents, tools, and workflows.
• Collaborate with adjacent squads to coordinate architectural dependencies across the product platform.

Requirements

• Four or more years of professional software development experience.
• Strong C++ development on Linux with analytical and object-oriented design skills.
• Experience with multithreaded programming, including threads, synchronization, and related failure modes.
• Exposure to networked or distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Professional experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
• Ability to deliver production-quality software with automated tests and use debugging or profiling tools such as gdb, perf, tcpdump, strace, or valgrind.

Nice to have

• Experience with messaging or streaming infrastructure such as hirify.global PubSub+, Kafka, MQTT, or AMQP.
• Familiarity with routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, or distributed consensus systems such as Raft and Paxos.
• Knowledge of POSIX, BSD, or SVr4 system interfaces and GNU libraries.
• Experience with performance analysis, profiling, low-latency tuning, or custom AI tooling.
