Lab Support Services Team Lead

Location: Onsite in Holyoke, Massachusetts, United States, with additional listed locations in Shelton, Connecticut; Wayne and Lawrenceville, New Jersey; Boston and Melrose, Massachusetts. Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 PM–4:30 AM.

Pay: $23–$27 per hour plus shift differential.

What you will do

• Assist with supervising daily laboratory support operations and lead team processes.
• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing and oversee routing to preparation areas.
• Perform quality assurance checks to support efficiency and accuracy.
• Research, resolve, and escalate production errors when necessary.
• Drive process and service-level improvements and enforce department policies and procedures.
• Complete administrative duties and support operational needs, including overtime or alternate shifts when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
• Understanding of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, prioritize and multitask, meet turnaround times, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position and pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree.
• At least 6 months of clinical laboratory experience.
• At least 6 months of experience supervising or leading a team.
