Lab Technical Coordinator (Clinical Laboratory)

Location: Onsite at Central DuPage Hospital, 25 N. Winfield Rd., Winfield, Illinois, United States. Full-time, 40 hours per week, day shift; rotating weekends and holidays may be required.

Salary: USD 36.30–52.63 per hour

What you will do

• Coordinate daily operations for a designated laboratory section in collaboration with pathologists, physician-specialists, support services, nursing units, and clinical testing departments.
• Review laboratory results, quality control records, and quality assurance parameters; coordinate corrective actions and proficiency testing.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, policies, document control, regulatory documentation, and laboratory information system changes.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, training, competency assessment, performance evaluation support, and daily work assignments.
• Perform complex and scheduled bench testing, quality control, patient information maintenance, and accurate reporting of test results.
• Oversee inventory, supplies, equipment maintenance, billing accuracy, budgeting input, and technical or operational issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology.
• At least two years of clinical laboratory experience, including professional experience in a technical specialty relevant to the role.
• MLS/BB/C/CG/CT/H/HTL/I/M/MB ASCP Board of Registry certification within one year of hire.
• Ability to perform complex laboratory testing with documented training and competency.
• Ability to work onsite in Winfield, Illinois, on a full-time day schedule, with possible rotating weekends and holidays.

Nice to have

• At least five years of clinical laboratory experience, including experience in a relevant technical specialty.
