Senior Systems/Software Engineer Cloud & On-Premise Software Development (Cloud Security)

Location: Hybrid; work from an HPE office an average of 2 days per week. Relocation support is provided for eligible candidates.

What you will do

• Own one or more product modules end to end across the cloud and on-premises security management platforms.
• Design, develop, debug, and maintain software modules and features for Security Director Cloud and Security Director On-Prem.
• Build and improve microservices, APIs, automation, policy management, monitoring, logging, and analytics capabilities.
• Write robust unit and functional tests, improve automated code coverage, and validate functionality before QA handoff.
• Evaluate technologies and integration plans, review designs against development standards, and provide feedback to improve quality and reduce risk.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring while collaborating with distributed engineering teams and development partners.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of software engineering experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Experience building cloud products using microservices architecture and extensive knowledge of cloud applications and technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, software design, debugging, and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with several of Go, Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Jakarta EE, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, REST, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Experience with Apache Kafka, Redis-based queues, Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, distributed tracing, structured logging, Bazel, Maven, Helm, OAuth2, SAML, JWT, and Jenkins CI/CD.
• Mastery in English and the local language, with experience collaborating across geographies, time zones, and cultures.
