Manager 2, Engineering Leader (QuickBooks Agentic AI)

Salary: $244,000–$330,000 annual base pay, with potential cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the development of customer-driven QuickBooks Online Payroll products powered by agentic AI.
• Drive strategic initiatives using code-generation technologies to improve engineering productivity and scalability.
• Build and maintain product vision, technology strategy, roadmaps, and cross-functional alignment.
• Lead operational excellence for highly available, scalable web applications with strong quality, security, and performance standards.
• Remove delivery barriers, manage priorities and scope changes, and maintain transparency around decisions and progress.
• Develop engineering talent through coaching, growth plans, and leadership by example.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an established technical leader of software engineering teams delivering customer-driven products.
• 8–12 years of hands-on software development experience across frontend and backend technologies, including React, JSP, GraphQL, Java, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Demonstrated AI proficiency, including building next-generation solutions and using code-generation tools to improve productivity.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, shaping product and technology vision, and driving organizational change.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and SaaS or mobile technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience, together with strong verbal and written communication skills.
