What you will do

• Receive, process, review, and verify customer and veterinarian prescription orders.
• Compound prescription orders with pharmacy technicians and release compounded preparations after quality checks.
• Directly supervise, train, and evaluate compounding personnel.
• Perform and document compounding procedures, quality assurance checks, and quality control activities.
• Calibrate, maintain, and operate compounding equipment while monitoring the preparation environment.
• Provide consultation, answer questions, follow safety procedures, and use required personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• BS or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Current Kentucky pharmacist license in good standing, plus additional state licenses and credentials when required.
• Knowledge of compounding principles, applicable laws, organizational procedures, USP <795>, USP <800>, and other relevant USP chapters.
• Strong mathematics, problem-solving, customer service, and documentation skills.
• Ability to complete respirator fit testing; facial hair may prevent an adequate seal.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced pharmacy environment, handle delicate equipment, lift at least 25 pounds, and remain in different working positions for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Compounding or laboratory experience.
