Senior Web Developer (WordPress)

What you will do

• Partner with Marketing, Design, Revenue Operations, Analytics, Product Engineering, and other stakeholders to turn business needs into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain hirify.global’s public-facing websites.
• Own complex web initiatives from discovery and technical planning through deployment, measurement, and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain custom WordPress themes, plugins, Gutenberg blocks, reusable components, and integrations using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Improve web architecture, performance, security, accessibility, site health, and protection against bot and crawler abuse.
• Build automated tests, maintain lead-generation paths, resolve production incidents, lead code reviews, and mentor developers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional web or software development experience supporting production applications, or equivalent professional experience in place of a relevant bachelor’s degree.
• Deep experience with WordPress applications, custom themes, plugins, Gutenberg blocks, and reusable components.
• Experience with modern JavaScript, including React, plus working knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations.
• Experience evaluating or migrating CMS platforms and traditional, decoupled, or headless web architectures.
• Experience implementing automated testing with Playwright or a comparable tool.
• Strong understanding of web performance, data privacy, security, and accessibility standards, including OWASP, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and WCAG.

• Experience supporting B2B SaaS websites.
• Ability to evaluate ambiguous problems, recommend pragmatic solutions, and mentor others.
