Finance & Strategy, Deal Desk - APAC (AI)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; hybrid policy requires staff to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time

What you will do

• Conduct growth, margin, discount-impact, and deal-profitability analysis.
• Structure and optimize complex enterprise deals in partnership with sales teams.
• Review non-standard pricing structures, contract terms, and financial implications, managing approvals and escalations.
• Coordinate sales, finance, legal, compliance, and other stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Develop deal approval policies, pricing guidelines, exception procedures, workflows, escalation paths, and standardized templates.
• Maintain deal documentation and report on deal strategy metrics, trends, and performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in deal strategy, deal desk, finance, sales strategy and operations, or related analytical roles.
• Hands-on experience building financial models, optimizing pricing, and structuring complex deals.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with CRM systems, CPQ tools, and contract management platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or professional experience in a relevant field.
• Visa sponsorship is available, subject to role and candidate eligibility.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS, cloud, or AI/ML companies with complex enterprise sales cycles.
• Background in consulting, investment banking, or other analytical and strategic roles.
• Experience with subscription and consumption-based business models.
• Knowledge of enterprise software contracts, commercial practices, and AI business models.
