Technical Accounting Senior Manager

Location: Hybrid position based in Reston, Virginia, United States

Salary: $118,807–$201,971 per year

What you will do

• Analyze unique transactions and prepare technical accounting memos documenting accounting positions and disclosure conclusions.
• Provide guidance on revenue recognition, software development, business combinations, leases, stock-based compensation, derivatives, purchase accounting, joint ventures, segment reporting, and impairment assessments.
• Monitor new accounting standards and lead applicable implementation efforts.
• Review accounting policies and procedures and collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Legal, Operations, Business Development, Treasury, and other stakeholders.
• Interact with external auditors and support quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 8-K, and 10-K and the Proxy Statement.
• Maintain and improve SOX compliance for technical accounting processes and support special projects.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or technical accounting roles.
• Experience with U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606, ASC 805, ASC 842, and ASC 718.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• CPA certification.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement based in Reston, Virginia.

Nice to have

• Experience with Hyperion HFM, Costpoint, and Cognos.
