Technical Accounting Analyst (US GAAP)

Location: Spring, Texas, United States of America

Salary: $105,050–$161,800 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for United States candidates.

What you will do

• Lead technical accounting research and prepare position papers documenting key judgments and estimates.
• Advise finance teams and business partners on contracts, operational matters, and new accounting requirements.
• Manage quarterly contingency and one-time reporting processes and support compliance activities.
• Monitor and communicate new GAAP, SEC, accounting, and disclosure requirements.
• Coordinate with departments and auditors during quarter-end close, including preparation of supporting documentation.
• Draft and update accounting policies and memoranda while identifying process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CA or equivalent qualification.
• 5–10 years of combined technical accounting experience, including Big Four accounting firms and/or controllership in large multinational publicly held companies.
• Strong understanding of accounting rules, accounting principles, financial analysis, and business applications including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical, communication, influencing, teamwork, business acumen, and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate complex topics, facilitate meetings, present to diverse audiences, and work with finance leadership, managers, and directors.

• Exposure to ERP accounting and finance systems such as SAP.
