Financial Reporting Manager

Location: San Mateo, United States; hybrid work arrangement.

Salary: $180,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Own technical accounting research, conclusions, policies, and memo documentation for revenue, leases, equity, partnerships, and infrastructure arrangements.
• Lead lease accounting under ASC 842, revenue recognition under ASC 606, and equity and share-based payments accounting under ASC 718.
• Evaluate cloud hosting, GPU capacity, data center costs, prepaid commitments, vendor accruals, and other hardware and compute-related costs.
• Build process flowcharts, narratives, risk-and-control matrices, and SOX-ready controls across financial reporting cycles.
• Partner with Accounting Operations, FP&A, Legal, Tax, Engineering, Revenue Operations, Business Development, Deal Desk, and external auditors.

Requirements

• 6–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including technical accounting and external reporting.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 718; familiarity with ASC 808 and ASC 350-40 is beneficial.
• Experience analyzing non-standard commercial arrangements, partnerships, and revenue-share structures.
• Experience writing technical accounting memos, preparing financial statements and disclosures, and supporting external audits.
• Experience documenting processes with flowcharts, narratives, and control matrices in a fast-growing organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CPA eligibility is preferred.
