Field Service Engineer / Technical Service Specialist (LC-MS/MS)

Location: Raritan, New Jersey, United States. On-site support is provided during 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday through Friday; overtime may be required.

Salary: $36.00–$42.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, cleaning, critical function checks, troubleshooting, and repairs on LC-MS/MS instrumentation and robotic liquid handling systems.
• Maintain Waters Acquity UHPLC systems, SCIEX triple quadrupole mass spectrometers, and Hamilton STAR robotic liquid handlers.
• Diagnose instrument issues, identify significant changes in performance, and coordinate with external service vendors to reduce downtime.
• Maintain equipment, maintenance, and instrument records and schedule internal and vendor service activities.
• Support laboratory personnel with equipment operation, troubleshooting, safety, and performance questions.
• Communicate equipment status to laboratory supervisors and contribute to process improvement and efficiency projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Engineering.
• At least 4 years of laboratory experience.
• At least 4 years of experience with LC-MS/MS instrumental analysis.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical thinking, troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Ability to work on site in Raritan, New Jersey, United States.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of experience with SCIEX Analyst, SCIEX OS, and Waters Acquity software platforms.
