Customer Engineer III (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Billerica, Massachusetts, United States; on-site customer and clean-room work with 50% travel

Salary: $37.00–$51.20 per hour

What you will do

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot customer equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and plating systems.
• Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to identify and address technical issues.
• Coordinate with customers, factory personnel, senior field service engineers, and internal technical resources.
• Participate in escalation meetings, track issues, drive corrective actions, and provide status updates.
• Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior field service engineers.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 4–7 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or another equipment support industry.
• Experience with vacuum-based, wet chemistry/plating, or dry chemistry/PVD equipment using software controls.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools and digital multimeters, plus basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport if travel is required.
• Ability to work on-site in a clean-room environment, meet safety and environmental requirements, perform physical field-service duties, and use required personal protective equipment.
