Location: Onsite at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. Other listed locations include Brentwood, Tennessee, and Burlington, North Carolina.

What you will do

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical laboratory specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and enter specimen and patient information accurately.
• Check laboratory equipment, perform minor instrumentation maintenance, and replenish supplies.
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and complete record logs and administrative duties.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following standard operating procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of specimen accessioning experience.
• Comfort handling biological specimens and accurately identifying specimens.
• Basic computer knowledge, data entry skills, strong communication, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment, meet turnaround times, and sit or stand for extended periods.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test and work overtime as needed.

Nice to have

• At least one year of laboratory assistant experience.
