Clinical Lab Scientist - Microbiology

Location: San Diego, California, United States; other listed locations include Torrance, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. Onsite schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Pay: $50.00–$58.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support daily laboratory operations and provide production reports to management.
• Determine specimen acceptability and process specimens when needed.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to standard operating procedures.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents and controls.
• Report accurate test results, perform quality control and preventive maintenance, and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical science, biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology.
• California CLS Generalist license required.
• At least two years of experience as a Clinical Lab Scientist.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures.
• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to meet physical requirements and pass a standardized color vision screen.

• Five or more years of Clinical Lab Scientist experience.
• Current or prior hirify.global experience.
