Medical Technologist (Medtech)

Location: Onsite roles in Spokane, Washington; Portland, Oregon; and Tualatin, Oregon, United States

Salary: $27.77–$37.00 per hour

What you will do

• Determine specimen acceptability and assist with specimen processing.
• Perform routine and complex technical laboratory procedures according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents and controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures while maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology, or an MLS degree.
• At least one year of clinical laboratory testing experience, unless applying with an MLS degree.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong attention to detail, prioritization, multitasking, communication, and customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency and familiarity with laboratory information systems.

Nice to have

• At least one year of experience in a clinical or hospital laboratory.
• ASCP or AMT certification.
