Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Core Lab (Clinical Laboratory)

Location: Dublin, Ohio; Knoxville, Tennessee; or Brentwood, Tennessee, United States. Onsite work schedule: Friday–Monday, 10:00 p.m.–8:30 a.m.

Salary: $25.85–$35.00 per hour plus shift differential

What you will do

• Assess specimen acceptability and process specimens according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical laboratory procedures under departmental standard operating procedures.
• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents and controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care.
• Document preventive maintenance and quality control activities, replenish supplies, and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology, or an MLS degree.
• At least one year of clinical laboratory testing experience, unless qualifying through an MLS degree.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures, preferably in a high-volume laboratory.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, with strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
• Computer proficiency and familiarity with laboratory information systems.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, pass a standardized color blindness test, and work overtime or other shifts when needed.

Nice to have

• Three months or more of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• ASCP or AMT certification.
• Non-traditional degree with applicable science credits meeting CLIA standards.
