Phlebotomy Team Lead (Medtech)

Location: 2067 West Vista Way, Suite 275, Vista, California, United States; travel to additional sites may be required.

Salary: $24.00–$29.00 per hour, plus eligibility for a quarterly performance-based incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Lead daily phlebotomy operations and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory, productivity, and information logs.
• Observe and report performance, compliance, staffing, and workflow issues to supervisors.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.
• Prepare specimens for testing, complete accurate patient data entry, and process billing information and payments when required.
• Address customer service issues, promote teamwork, and travel to additional sites as needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience; 3 or more years is preferred.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• California state-issued phlebotomy license (CPT) required; an application filed with the California Department of Health at hire may be accepted in lieu of the license.
• Experience managing workflow in a patient-centered environment; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures and techniques, including pediatric patient experience.
• Ability to pass a standardized color-blindness test, maintain a clean driving record, work overtime, and provide exceptional customer service.

Nice to have

• Associate degree.
• Two or more years of supervisory experience.
