Client Office Phlebotomist (Full-time Days SW) (Phlebotomy/Specimen Processing): Providing venipuncture, specimen collection, processing, order entry, and patient-facing laboratory services with an accent on patient safety, sample integrity, and accurate clinical documentation. Focus on processing and transporting specimens, maintaining quality-control records, resolving collection issues, and supporting laboratory operations during weekday daytime hours.
Location: Client site in the Loop, Chicago, Illinois, United States. Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Salary: $19.81–$26.74 per hour

What you will do
- Perform venipuncture and other laboratory specimen collections according to age-related standards and department protocols.
- Process specimens by labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and packaging samples for transport.
- Review physician orders, enter laboratory test requests, verify result receipt, and retrieve patient information.
- Provide patient communication and post-phlebotomy care while applying patient-safety practices.
- Monitor refrigerator temperatures, quality-control records, equipment, manifests, and specimen-related issues.
- Maintain biohazard procedures, supplies, laboratory records, equipment, and related clerical workflows.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy certification from a nationally recognized organization, training from a phlebotomy school or medical institution, at least one year of healthcare phlebotomy experience, or CMA certification.
- Ability to work onsite in Chicago Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Strong patient communication, teamwork, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to follow safety, regulatory, quality, and biohazard-waste procedures.
Nice to have
- Experience performing phlebotomy for a broad range of patient types.
- Experience processing and transferring specimens and operating a centrifuge.
- Familiarity with medical EMR systems and medical terminology.
