Yard Operations Team Leader (Vehicle Auctions)

Location: Onsite in Gloucester, United Kingdom. The role requires legal entitlement to work in the country where the position is located and satisfactory right-to-work and DBS checks.

Salary: £30,000–£32,000 per year, dependent on experience.

What you will do

• Lead daily yard operations, including vehicle flow, loading and unloading transporters, housekeeping, site security, and maintenance.
• Manage employees’ daily work, leave, sickness, holidays, training, mentoring, safety equipment, and performance.
• Provide customer service to clients and suppliers and resolve operational issues effectively.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety, environmental, company, and ISO 27001 requirements.
• Order fuel and oil, manage stationery requests, oversee site banking, and complete incident and accident reports.
• Conduct weekly site checks, maintain the site diary, and attend call-outs when required.

Requirements

• Experience leading a team and maximising performance.
• Full driving licence.
• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Basic literacy and numeracy.
• Valid right to work in the United Kingdom and ability to pass satisfactory DBS and right-to-work checks.
• Forklift truck licence for rough terrain, and mechanical, metal recycling, or vehicle maintenance qualifications are advantageous.
