What you will do
- Lead JD drivers, installers, and delivery service partner crews, including recruitment, training, scheduling, holiday management, performance management, and development planning.
- Manage installation crew contracts and coordinate capacity with delivery service partners.
- Plan safe delivery routes, assign work according to qualifications, and ensure customer commitments and operating SOPs are met.
- Oversee inbound order receipt, vehicle loading, reverse-order returns, dispatch to the central warehouse, vehicle checks, maintenance records, driving licence checks, and fuel card management.
- Support delivery and installation teams on the road while balancing customer service, delivery timeliness, health and safety, and product or property damage risks.
- Investigate complaints, accidents, damage, and KPI misses, while managing tools and consumables inventory and implementing performance improvements.
Requirements
- Experience leading teams that operate away from a delivery station.
- Customer-focused decision-making and the ability to apply SOPs in practical situations.
- Strong operational skills, prioritisation, collaboration, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work with customers, internal teams, and external delivery partners.
- Experience in final-mile delivery, bulky-item operations, and/or installations is preferred.
