Clinical Laboratory Technologist (Medical Technology)

Location: Onsite positions at clinical laboratory locations in Saint Johns, Tampa, Middleburg, Jacksonville, and Pensacola, Florida, United States

What you will do

• Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical testing procedures following departmental standards.
• Monitor, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents and controls while performing preventive maintenance and quality control.
• Report accurate and timely test results and assist with specimen processing.
• Maintain supplies, follow safety procedures, and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical science, biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology, or an MLS degree.
• At least one year of clinical laboratory testing experience unless qualified through an MLS degree.
• Florida Medical Technologist (MT) license required.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, with strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems and computer applications.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test and work overtime or other shifts as needed.

Nice to have

• ASCP or AMT certification.
• Non-traditional degree with applicable science credits meeting CLIA standards.
