Medical Laboratory Scientist Lab Chemistry-Part-time Days (Chemistry)

Location: Central DuPage Hospital, 25 N. Winfield Rd., Winfield, Illinois, United States. Part-time, 20 hours per week, day shift.

Salary: USD 34.00–52.70 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical laboratory workflows for the chemistry section.
• Receive, verify, label, process, prepare, store, and transfer specimens according to standard operating procedures.
• Perform testing, review and interpret results, complete reflex testing, and report critical or amended results.
• Maintain instruments, reagents, supplies, quality control records, and test system integrity.
• Troubleshoot testing, workflow, order, specimen, and billing issues, escalating unresolved problems when needed.
• Support quality operations, new test validations, SOP reviews, employee and student training, safety, and patient confidentiality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a qualifying Allied Health field.
• General MLS or MT ASCP certification or eligibility, or categorical BB, C, H, or M ASCP certification or eligibility.
• Candidates hired after January 19, 2025 must obtain ASCP or equivalent certification within one year of employment.
• Ability to follow laboratory protocols, quality control procedures, safety requirements, and confidentiality standards.
• Onsite availability in Winfield, Illinois, for a 20-hour-per-week day-shift position.
