Lab Assistant

Location: On-site positions in Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; Vancouver, Washington; and Spokane, Washington, United States. Work schedule: 3rd shift.

What you will do

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical laboratory specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and enter specimen and patient information accurately.
• Check laboratory equipment, perform minor instrumentation maintenance, and replenish test bench supplies.
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and complete record logs and administrative duties.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following Standard Operating Procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Comfort handling biological specimens and accurately identifying specimens.
• Basic computer knowledge and data-entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, meet established turnaround times, and sit or stand for extended periods.
• Ability to pass a standardized color-blindness test and work overtime as needed.

Nice to have

• Current or prior hirify.global experience.
• Six months of experience in healthcare, assembly or manufacturing production, or a medical or clinical laboratory.
