Electrician, Building Maintenance (First Shift) (Electrical Systems)

Location: Columbus, Ohio, United States. Onsite building maintenance role; some shift work, evenings, weekends, and emergency response may be required.

What you will do

• Perform electrical trade work in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
• Install, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems, apparatus, and equipment using tools, testers, schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Work with 120/208/277/480 AC/DC voltage-related systems and perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance.
• Complete preventive, corrective, emergency, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance activities.
• Record work orders, materials, maintenance activity, identified problems, and required follow-up in the maintenance reporting system.
• Identify faulty operations and defective equipment while following OSHA, PPE, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant professional commercial electrical experience.
• Proficiency with low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical systems.
• Knowledge of electrical principles, terminology, materials, and the use of volt-ohm-amp testers.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, blueprints, and written procedures.
• Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, climbing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Project, Outlook, and general software navigation.
