Senior Technical Project Manager (Healthcare IT)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts; hybrid schedule with 2–3 days onsite per week

Salary: $130,930–$140,230 per year

What you will do

• Lead an end-to-end RFP process to evaluate and select a new blood donor system for Blood Donor Services, Apheresis, and Blood Bank operations.
• Coordinate requirements gathering, develop RFP materials, manage vendor communications and demonstrations, facilitate proposal scoring, and guide final selection.
• Oversee multiple complex projects with budgets exceeding $1 million, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Translate business processes into technical solutions and assess integration, security, feasibility, and long-term scalability.
• Manage project risks, quality objectives, resources, portfolio impact, and relationships with clinical, operational, technical, executive, and vendor stakeholders.
• Mentor project teams and lead vendor selections and implementations involving multiple vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 6 years in project management or comparable roles.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PGMP) certification required and must be maintained.
• Extensive experience delivering complex projects, managing stakeholders, analyzing requirements, and making strategic decisions.
• Strong knowledge of application development and support, networking, system integration, information security, SDLC, and project management methodologies.
• Proficiency with project management software and scheduling tools such as MS Project.
