Salary: $25.00–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Construct, repair, maintain, and calibrate machine shop tools, jigs, fixtures, stamping dies, molds, and instruments.
• Operate various machine tools and perform layout, fitting, and parts assembly.
• Interpret drawings, sketches, parts requests, handbooks, and technical tables to plan work.
• Cut material from stock, retrieve tools from the tool crib, and complete machining operations.
• Perform heat treating, grinding, and other specialized processes.
• Make and set stamping dies and run first-article production.

Requirements

• Typically at least 7 years of tooling experience, excluding trade school.
• Experience with all phases of machine tool and die practice.
• Ability to perform precision work to tolerances of plus or minus 0.0001 inch.
• Understanding of safe practices for precision tool and fixture fabrication.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, or demonstrated ability to follow verbal, written, and computer-based instructions in English.
• Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required.
