Global Commodity Manager (Electronics)

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA; ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.

What you will do

• Manage assigned electronics commodities and supplier relationships worldwide.
• Define and execute commodity and supplier strategies focused on cost, quality, availability, and risk reduction.
• Negotiate supplier agreements and Master Supply Agreements to improve total value and inventory turns.
• Monitor supplier performance, maintain scorecards, lead corrective actions, and support supplier development and business reviews.
• Optimize supply-chain lead times and participate in cross-functional initiatives covering quality, pricing, inventory, and material availability.
• Analyze supplier and commodity markets, material price variations, and supply risks while acting as an SAP super user.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supplier quality, or operational management.
• Experience with cost reduction, bidding, supplier negotiations, contracts, and purchasing techniques.
• Knowledge of supplier quality, product conformity, problem-solving methodologies, and supply-risk contingency planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA and travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.

Nice to have

• MBA.
• Experience with continuous improvement and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience using SAP or an equivalent ERP system.
• Experience sourcing printed circuit board assemblies through a global EMS supply base.
