Global Strategic Sourcing Manager (Electrical)

Salary: $125,000–$145,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead and develop the electrical strategic sourcing team, setting direction, ownership, priorities, and accountability.
• Develop and execute multi-year electrical category strategies based on product roadmaps, market intelligence, supplier capabilities, cost drivers, capacity, quality, and continuity risk.
• Direct commercial negotiations, sourcing events, productivity plans, supplier recovery actions, and long-term supplier agreements.
• Identify capacity constraints and supply continuity risks, then establish mitigation, recovery, and escalation plans.
• Optimize the supplier base through consolidation, regionalization, supplier development, qualified alternatives, and reduced complexity.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Finance, Manufacturing, Program Management, and Supply Chain Risk Management on sourcing, product, supplier, and operational decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, engineering, planning, supplier quality, operations, or a related function.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing individuals or teams while delivering results through others.
• Demonstrated success with complex commercial negotiations, supplier agreements, contract strategy, commercial risk assessment, and negotiation planning.
• Strong financial, analytical, executive communication, presentation, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with new product introduction, stage-gate development, Design-to-Value, VA/VE, modular sourcing, or should-cost methodologies.
• Knowledge of purchasing contracts, tooling, intellectual property, supplier quality systems, and lean principles.
• MBA, advanced technical degree, or relevant professional certification.
