Software Engineer - Cloud/GovCloud (Top Secret - Remote US)

Location: Remote within the United States; access from foreign locations and foreign IP addresses is blocked. Quarterly travel to an office or client site may be required. Core work hours are 8am–5pm Eastern Time, with flexibility to start earlier or work later based on time zone.

Salary: $81,499–$167,644 per year.

What you will do

• Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
• Design, develop, and maintain secure applications using Java, Kotlin, and TypeScript.
• Develop and optimize Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database solutions.
• Build, support, troubleshoot, and integrate cloud-based solutions in AWS GovCloud.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, cybersecurity, and DevSecOps teams in an Agile environment.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, documentation, compliance activities, and executive-level status reporting.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance required; an Interim Top Secret clearance will be considered.
• At least 2 years of experience supporting the full SDLC for secure, enterprise-level applications.
• Experience with AWS cloud platforms and secure cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Java or Kotlin, TypeScript, object-oriented design, and modern development frameworks.
• Experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server, including query optimization and data integrity.
• Ability to work during core hours of 8am–5pm Eastern Time and collaborate using Agile practices, version control, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Experience supporting AWS GovCloud or other secure cloud environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
