Software Engineer (Privacy Engineering)

Salary: $153,000–$270,000 USD annually, depending on US pay zone

What you will do

• Design and develop services and infrastructure supporting data privacy initiatives and consumer privacy rights.
• Build internal products and technology layers that enable responsible data collection, storage, and analysis.
• Collaborate with product engineering, privacy counsel, security, platform engineering, and other teams.
• Help define the technological direction of privacy engineering at hirify.global.
• Mentor engineers and review implementations involving privacy technologies.
• Monitor and improve the stability of existing engineering solutions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience writing scalable, robust, high-quality, and testable code.
• Ability and interest to learn new technologies and programming languages.
• Experience working across services, infrastructure, or frameworks to achieve security and privacy goals.
• Experience with Java or Kotlin and technologies including Linux, Terraform, AWS, or MySQL.

Nice to have

• Experience designing novel security or privacy architectures.
• Experience developing services or processes for data governance.
• Experience surfacing data flows, access control, and risk.
• Experience explaining complex technical security or privacy concepts.
