Salary: $22.60–$31.65 per hour

What you will do
- Coordinate personnel responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, sterilizing, assembling, packaging, and distributing surgical instruments and patient care items.
- Monitor compliance with departmental policies, procedures, quality assurance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform sterilization tests, interpret data and graphs, verify sterilizer operation, and maintain equipment records.
- Interview, orient, train, and evaluate Sterile Processing Technicians.
- Manage surgical supply and equipment inventory, identify faulty equipment, and coordinate repairs.
- Assist with staffing, call schedules, policy development, staff evaluations, and equipment acquisition recommendations.
Requirements
- High school degree.
- Expert knowledge of sterile technique, AAMI standards, and surgical instrumentation.
- Certified in Sterile Processing.
- Availability to work onsite at the DeKalb, Illinois location.
- Successful completion of a background check is required for newly hired team members.
