Clinical Nurse - Hematology Oncology 15 Prentice Full Time Nights

Location: 245 E. Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL, United States. Full-time night shift.

Salary: USD 36.50–58.40 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent, evidence-based care for assigned hematology and oncology patients.
• Assess patients, identify outcomes, plan and implement nursing interventions, and evaluate and document responses in the health record.
• Develop individualized, age-specific and culturally sensitive plans of care while advocating for patient safety, rights and needs.
• Educate patients, families, students and team members, and participate in mentoring, precepting and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, delegate and supervise care activities, and communicate accurate information during handoffs.
• Participate in quality improvement, policy development, professional growth and unit-based initiatives.

Requirements

• Graduate of an NLN-accredited school or college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support CPR certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Analytical ability, effective oral, listening and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal collaboration skills.
• Ability to use a keyboard to enter or retrieve data.

Nice to have

• Experience in the specific clinical area.
• Nursing specialty certification, if eligible.
