Registered Nurse-Medical-Surgical-Oncology Part-Time Nights (MedTech)

Location: 1 Kish Hospital Dr., DeKalb, Illinois, United States. Part-time night shift.

Salary: USD 36.50–58.40 per hour.

What you will do

• Assess medical-surgical oncology patients across physical, psychological, emotional, cultural, and environmental needs.
• Develop, update, and evaluate individualized nursing plans of care with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, provide pain management, and implement age-specific nursing interventions.
• Monitor diagnostic data, treatment responses, and changes in patient condition, taking appropriate nursing action.
• Provide patient and family education, participate in discharge planning, and document care accurately.
• Coordinate communication and care activities with healthcare providers, hospital departments, and community agencies.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• BSN required; an ADN is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
• Ability to follow nursing standards, OSHA requirements, hospital policies, and regulatory standards.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills are preferred.
• Onsite work at the DeKalb, Illinois hospital location and availability for night shifts are required.
