Salary: $113,900–$162,700 USD per year

What you will do

  • Lead the safe, compliant, and cost-effective operation of a thermomechanical treatment facility.
  • Oversee boiler and turbine performance and ensure compliance with environmental permits and operating procedures.
  • Manage Operations Supervisors, Shift Supervisors, and Operating Technicians.
  • Translate business strategy into operational plans, resource plans, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop personnel, strengthen accountability, and build an inclusive, high-performance operations culture.
  • Lead audits, housekeeping standards, troubleshooting, and operational discipline across the facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Chemical, or at least 10 years of plant operations supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Experience with power plant operations or high-pressure boilers and prior experience as a people leader.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse employees and contractors, communicate with stakeholders, and develop teams.
  • Experience with process and systems development, safety management in high-hazard operations, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work off-hours and on call, climb, lift or carry 50 pounds, work at heights and in confined spaces, wear a full-face respirator, and work in varying weather conditions.
  • ASME QRO/CFO certification is desirable, or the ability to qualify for the required certification within six months of employment.

Nice to have

  • Materials handling and processing experience with conveyors, cranes, and hoppers.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification or experience.
  • Experience with CMMS, outages, turbines, generators, electrical and controls systems, or other power plant systems.
  • Experience in a specialty chemical plant, waste-to-energy facility, coal-fired power plant, or material-handling environment.
