Plant Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: El Dorado, Arkansas, United States; onsite plant leadership role

Salary: $141,120–$220,500 per year, with a 16% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Lead production, maintenance, engineering, technology, reliability, and supporting manufacturing functions across the site.
• Ensure safe, environmentally responsible, and compliant operations, including regulatory engagement and Process Safety Management.
• Drive performance across safety, environmental, quality, reliability, cost, productivity, and cash-generation metrics.
• Lead capacity expansion, process optimization, plant turnarounds, maintenance strategies, reliability improvements, and critical process restart activities.
• Deliver capital projects safely, on schedule, and within budget while managing operating budgets and capital expenditures.
• Lead workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, community engagement, emergency preparedness, and crisis management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Chemical Engineering is preferred.
• At least 10 years of manufacturing or operations experience in chemical, petrochemical, or related process industries, including leadership in high-hazard environments.
• Extensive knowledge of Process Safety Management, environmental regulations, occupational safety, and operational risk management.
• Experience managing plant operations, operating budgets, capital expenditures, cost performance, and continuous manufacturing processes.
• Experience developing high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, change leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills in global matrixed organizations.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree such as an MBA, M.S., or equivalent.
• Experience with turnarounds, startup or restart activities, major capital expansions, or transformational improvement programs.
• Experience applying Lean methodologies to maintenance processes and implementing business systems.
