Value Stream Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Wamego, Kansas, United States; onsite five days a week. Relocation is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $128,470–$192,710 per year

What you will do

• Lead daily manufacturing operations across one or more production areas, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Manage staffing, employee development, performance management, and succession planning for operations personnel and leadership teams.
• Coach supervisors and operational teams to improve engagement, accountability, and performance.
• Drive lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Monitor performance metrics, support production planning and scheduling, and optimize capacity and resource utilization.
• Lead cross-functional problem solving, risk management, and root cause analysis for production and operational issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, business, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience leading manufacturing operations, production teams, or value stream management activities.
• Experience managing employee performance, coaching leaders, and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, communication, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices, regulatory requirements, and OSHA standards.
• Must work onsite five days a week in Wamego, Kansas; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of process mapping, value stream analysis, waste reduction, and operational excellence methodologies.
• Experience evaluating business cases, cost-benefit impacts, workflows, risks, and operational changes.
