Medical Lab Technologist

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States of America; Swedish First Hill Lab. Work schedule: Friday–Monday, 9:00 pm–7:30 am.

Salary: $34.25–$52.14 per hour, plus a third-shift differential.

What you will do

• Evaluate specimen acceptability and assist with specimen processing.
• Perform routine and complex technical laboratory procedures according to standard operating procedures.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents and controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Complete preventive maintenance, quality control, supply replenishment, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or Medical Technology.
• ASCP or AMT certification.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team with minimal supervision.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
