TL;DR
Client Office Phlebotomist (Phlebotomy): Performing blood and laboratory specimen collection for infant, adult, geriatric, and wheelchair-bound patients with an accent on patient safety, specimen processing, and accurate laboratory order handling. Focus on collecting difficult specimens, maintaining quality-control records, coordinating timed draws and results, and supporting safe client-site laboratory operations.
Location: Client site in Eureka, Missouri, United States. Full-time schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM. Travel to additional sites may be required.
Salary: $19.45–$25.29 per hour.

What you will do
- Collect blood and other laboratory specimens from infant, adult, geriatric, and wheelchair-bound patients.
- Provide post-phlebotomy care, identify medical assistance needs, and follow patient-safety procedures.
- Label, process, transfer, and handle specimens according to established protocols.
- Review refrigerator temperatures and quality-control records, document corrective actions, and report equipment concerns.
- Obtain physician orders, enter laboratory tests, and follow up on outstanding orders, timed draws, results, and charges.
- Perform related clerical duties, communicate with client office and laboratory staff, and travel to additional sites when needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy certification from a nationally recognized organization or training from a phlebotomy school or medical institution, plus one or more years of healthcare phlebotomy experience.
- Ability to work the stated Monday–Friday daytime schedule at the Eureka client site.
- Ability to collect specimens from patients across different age groups and physical conditions.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, maintain accurate records, and follow patient-safety and regulatory requirements.
- Professional communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with diverse patient populations and laboratory specimen processing.
- Experience transferring specimens and operating a centrifuge.
- Familiarity with medical EMR systems and medical terminology.
- Bilingual skills.
