What you will do

• Perform routine and complex technical procedures on body fluids using automated analyzers and manual laboratory methods.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, documenting corrective actions when systems deviate from specifications.
• Enter and verify laboratory test results and maintain accurate, timely reporting through the clinical laboratory information system.
• Manage quality-control activities, instrument calibrations, proficiency testing, and laboratory records.
• Process bone marrow smears and support departmental inventory and special projects.
• Train new personnel on laboratory instruments, procedures, information systems, and laboratory practices.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in clinical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, with MLT (ASCP), MT (ASCP), or a nationally recognized equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years of clinical laboratory experience in chemistry and/or hematology.
• ASCP, AMT, NCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory and medical terminology.
• Ability to communicate effectively, exercise sound judgment, multitask, and work under pressure in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to maintain patient-data confidentiality and comply with safety, infection-control, and laboratory procedures.
