Director of Finance (Healthcare)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid role with attendance at the Manhattan office 3–5 days per week

Salary: $170,000–$230,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the finance department across budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
• Partner with leadership on financial strategy, capital allocation, growth initiatives, and business decisions.
• Build financial models and forecasts and monitor key performance indicators and profitability.
• Lead fundraising efforts, manage investor relations, and support early-stage financing activities.
• Implement scalable financial systems and processes, strengthen controls, and ensure audit readiness.
• Manage financial risks, regulatory compliance, monthly performance reviews, and the financial close process with the accounting team.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in operational finance.
• Expertise in FP&A, financial modeling, revenue forecasting, cost negotiations, financial planning, and budgeting.
• Experience with fundraising, capital management, and investor relations.
• Proven success in a startup or high-growth company.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement from New York City, with regular attendance at the Manhattan office.

• Experience leading early-stage fundraising rounds.
• Experience in healthcare, technology, or a related industry.
• Familiarity with subscription or membership-based business models.
• Previous experience as a financial analyst.
