Software Engineer Intern

Location: Boise, Idaho, United States; onsite

Salary: $24.25–$33.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support the software development process for the Communications & Cyber Security Team.
• Verify that software meets defined requirements and execute documented testing procedures.
• Implement firmware and software designs.
• Provide technical support to engineering staff.
• Apply engineering quality assurance procedures and improve development processes.
• Follow company operating and manufacturing principles while contributing to assigned projects.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a degree in computer science or an equivalent field, with at least one year of technical coursework completed.
• Programming experience in C#, C++, Java, or an equivalent object-oriented language.
• Ability to execute and document defined testing procedures.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills, assume responsibilities, and work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Satisfactory background check and negative drug test results.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, JavaScript, or Bash scripting.
• Practical knowledge of developing Linux daemons.
• Knowledge of SQL, databases, and networking concepts.
• Experience with revision control and source code management systems.
