System Test Engineer Co-Op Full Time Intern (Medical Devices)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; full-time onsite assignment from January through June 2027

Salary: $35.00 per hour; estimated pay range $25.00–$35.00 per hour

What you will do

• Write test cases from medical device and software requirements, including expected behavior and failure conditions.
• Evaluate connected cardiac monitoring systems across wearable hardware, embedded software, applications, tools, and infrastructure.
• Verify that development and testing tools operate correctly and reliably.
• Document test results in reports and Jira tickets so issues can be clearly understood and addressed.
• Investigate unexpected results, reproduce problems, and test corrections before release.
• Help confirm the safety, reliability, and performance of wearable cardiac monitoring products.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Availability for the full January–June 2027 assignment in San Francisco.
• Hands-on experience with electrical equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and digital multimeters.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and work independently and collaboratively across disciplines.

Nice to have

• Experience with medical devices or another regulated industry.
• Scripting or programming skills in Python or SQL.
• Familiarity with software development processes.
