Reimbursement Senior Consultant (Healthcare)

Location: Southfield or Traverse City, Michigan; candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of one office. The role follows a principally in-person workplace model with some flexibility and requires approximately 25% local and national travel.

Salary: $80,000–$144,000 per year

What you will do

• Prepare, review, and analyze Medicare and Medicaid cost reports in line with federal and state regulations.
• Support strategic engagements for acute care providers, including large health systems and community hospitals.
• Analyze data to optimize Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement.
• Advise clients on strategic and operational decisions based on reimbursement implications.
• Perform financial analysis related to third-party payor regulations and new models of care.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, healthcare, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience with Medicare and Medicaid cost reports and related analysis.
• Knowledge of accounting and financial analysis, including variance identification and process improvement.
• Proficiency with financial accounting and reporting systems and Microsoft Office.
• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Southfield or Traverse City, Michigan.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Bilingual Japanese-English or Chinese-English skills may qualify for an exception to the sponsorship requirement.
