Managing Consultant (Healthcare Revenue Cycle)

Location: Remote - USA; must have the legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship. Consistent travel of 50%–80% may be required based on project needs and client expectations.

Salary: $120,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Plan and manage small to medium-sized healthcare consulting engagements and workstreams across the Revenue Cycle continuum.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives covering Patient Access, HIM/Coding, Charge Capture, Revenue Integrity, Denials and Underpayments, Recovery, and Patient Financial Services.
• Conduct current-state assessments, opportunity quantification, financial modeling, and operational analyses.
• Create project charters, workplans, realization schedules, benefit tracking tools, deliverables, and transition plans.
• Lead and mentor junior staff, review work products, and manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Manage senior client relationships, present recommendations to executive stakeholders, and contribute to business development and practice growth.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of healthcare industry or consulting experience in Revenue Cycle operations, performance improvement, process re-engineering, revenue management, reimbursement, and recovery strategies.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Extensive operational expertise in one or more Revenue Cycle functions, including Patient Access, HIM/Coding, Charge Capture, Revenue Integrity, Denials and Underpayments, Recovery, or Patient Financial Services.
• Strong project management, analytical, financial modeling, communication, presentation, and team leadership skills.
• Experience with revenue cycle technologies, automation tools, AI-enabled workflows, analytics platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Previous consulting experience.
• Industry certification such as CRCR, CHFP, CHAM, CRCE-I, or CRCE-P.
• Familiarity with Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, MEDITECH, or Athena/IDX.
