Head of FP&A

Location: San Francisco Bay Area; hybrid work with attendance at the Burlingame office 2–3 times per week required. Must currently reside locally; this role is not remote-eligible.

What you will do

• Own and continuously evolve the three-statement financial model, including scenario analysis for pricing, hiring, capital expenditure, and deployment pace.
• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly re-forecasting, monthly variance analysis, headcount planning, and rolling cash forecasting.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages and relevant Board materials.
• Manage reporting requests and day-to-day relationships with investors, lenders, and financing partners, including borrowing compliance reporting and fundraising support.
• Represent Finance in the S&OP process, define business metrics, maintain the balanced scorecard, and drive pricing, spending, and operational improvements.
• Advance Planful adoption and integrations while applying AI and automation to forecasting, reporting, and reconciliation workflows.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A leadership in a high-growth technology company.
• Experience owning a company-wide financial model and running scenario analysis for executive decision-making.
• Experience with Board reporting, fundraising, investor or lender relationships, cash forecasting, and cash collection cycle management.
• Strong communication and cross-functional partnering skills, including collaboration with executive leadership and department leaders.
• Hands-on experience owning an FP&A or planning platform; Planful is strongly preferred, with Adaptive Insights, Pigment, or Anaplan also relevant.
• Must currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area and attend the Burlingame office 2–3 times per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Looker or Tableau.
• Experience managing venture debt or banking relationships and participating in S&OP or similar operating-planning processes.
• Experience with hardware, SaaS, subscription, hardware-as-a-service, robotics, or connected-device business models.
• Venture-backed or private-equity-backed company experience.
• Experience applying AI tooling to finance, accounting, or tax workflows.
