Resident Inspector - UT Level II - Upstate NY (54525)

Location: On-site at a customer facility in Upstate New York; candidates must be local or willing to relocate to the area. U.S. Persons only due to ITAR export-control requirements.

Salary: $40.00–$50.00 per hour, full-time.

What you will do

• Run the daily ultrasonic testing program, including scheduling, technician coordination, and thickness testing.
• Review UT data and monitor PSAim database entries and low-remaining-life reports for accuracy.
• Validate inspection coverage for piping, tanks, and vessels and coordinate additional inspection points.
• Update piping isometrics, thickness measurement locations, asset records, and inspection documentation.
• Coordinate with drafting teams and off-site NDT specialists, including radiography crews.
• Train owner and contractor personnel and support improvements to site NDT procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of UT experience and experience with mechanical integrity databases; UT Level II experience is preferred.
• Eight to ten years of experience in mechanical reliability, piping, tank or vessel inspections, design, or mechanical integrity program management.
• Certification for confined-space entry and mobile platforms, with the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, reports, and AutoCAD.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Must be a U.S. Person, pass a drug screen, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and be local to or able to relocate to Upstate New York.

Nice to have

• PT/MT certifications, PSAim experience, digital radiography experience, or experience leading small technician teams.
• API 570 certification or interest in obtaining company-sponsored API certifications.
