Electrical Engineer II (RFID)

Location: Hybrid position in Holtsville, New York, requiring at least three days per week in the Holtsville office

Salary: $76,640–$114,960 annual base pay, plus a target performance-based annual cash incentive of 10% of base pay

What you will do

• Design, develop, modify, and test electrical components, PCB assemblies, and processes for RFID products.
• Develop electrical functionality documentation and contribute to project code reviews.
• Run assigned tests, review results, and perform root cause analysis to identify problems.
• Recommend and implement solutions to complex electrical issues while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Upgrade existing electrical designs and improve technologies for new solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external customers, and JDMs/CMs to bring RFID products to market.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 1+ year of experience.
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with embedded design and signal integrity is highly desired.
• Experience generating schematics using Cadence Allegro or similar schematic-capture software and supporting PCB layout is highly desired.
• Experience with embedded microprocessors or microcontrollers, including associated SDRAM and flash memory.

Nice to have

• Experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RF, PSPICE, FPGA, C, VHDL, or Verilog.
• Knowledge of RF compliance and mitigation of EMI, ESD, and immunity issues.
• Knowledge of USB, Ethernet, serial, audio, and video interfaces.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external JDMs or CMs.
