Technical Staff Engineer - Hardware

What you will do

• Define product features, requirements, and system-level tradeoffs with hardware, software, marketing, test, and manufacturing teams.
• Develop analog and digital circuit designs and create schematics using CAD tools.
• Contribute to system architecture, component selection, PCB layout, signal integrity, manufacturability, and design reviews.
• Create hardware design documentation and test plans, and maintain design data in the Agile PLM system.
• Support board bring-up, driver development, board-level validation, product release, and sustaining activities.
• Develop advanced network timing equipment, including PTP grandmasters and NTP servers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering/Science; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 12+ years of hands-on circuit design experience.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, digital systems, and computer architecture.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and related laboratory test equipment.
• Experience with Altium and/or HyperLynx CAD tools.
• Experience with high-speed PCB transmission-line structures, signal integrity practices, analytical problem-solving, and technical documentation.
